Yep, agreed - I thought it was just me, I've nearly been caught out by the blind spot as well. |

Yep geoffk; scarily I've done that once too .... much to close for comfort ... suddenly seeing a van appear at speed from nowhere really made me jump! Life is not a dress rehearsal! |

I've always preferred to have my mirrors so that i can just see down the side of the vehicle. However, the company i work for is always pushing out safety items and one we received several months ago was about the door mirrors. Normally, you have a large blind spot with the position we all have the mirrors in, but if you turn them a bit more to square with the side, it creates 2 narrow blind spots instead of the 1 large one. With peripheral vision, door mirror, rear view mirror and 2 narrow blind spots, it increases your view.

The Freely 2 sold here in Germany do have the split screen outside mirrors to avoid the blind spots left and right. The mirror glasses are easy to change I have been told but not cheap due to the heating.
