Ibought the same sidesteps but from a differant seller, think it was lrparts or something like that.

I believe they are maunfactured in China and are copies of the original Freelander steps as have Landrover stickers and part numbers inside which tie up with the official part numbers and have the official Landrover fitting instructions inside, and bolt into the existing holes within the Freelander.

They took me about 1.5 hours to fit however they dont seem as sturdy as other sidesteps and creak a little when you stand on them. I'm pretty tall so dont use the anyway, I just fitted them to avoid other people catching my car doors with theirs in carparks so work ok for me.

I have not bought the steps from them but have dealt with the company several times and have always received a great service.

I bought the side steps and mudflaps from them just under a year ago, the side steps came in LR badged boxes, had excellent service and fast delivery. No problems.

Do not buy the mudflaps, quote from the e-bay auction

"Please note - There is a Slight Error on the fitting instructions - A bracket is shown but it is not supplied in the kit, the flaps fit securely without the bracket, the bracket is only required for severe off road driving and IS NOT supplied with this kit"

This is nonsense they have obviously used a copy of the genuine instructions but are not supplying the( complicated shape) brackets. Without the 2 brackets for the front and the two spring clips for the rear you will lose your mudflaps as they will only be held on by self tapping screws, any snow, mud, kerb, etc and you will be buying a second set. Bite the bullet and ring Duckworths for the genuine part, they are nice people and will give you a discount and free postage. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
