Fuse for cigarette lighter light

I just noticed my front cigarette lighter socket / 12 volt auxiliary socket has a non working green light surround.
I did a search here with no luck. Manual with no luck.
Is there a fuse of some sort for it? The socket itself works. Just not the light.
Do I need to replace the whole part?

Thanks in advance. Cuatro Por Cuatro

I'm interested in this as mine has gone also.

Not looked into it as yet, but I assume there is a small light bulb that illuminates it that needs replacing and not a fuse.

If so, does the socket just pull out to gain access to the bulb?

There is a fuse for the actual power supply for the socket but not for the light itself

The 1.2w bulb must have blown.
The glow ring illumination is on the acc circiut and unless you've not noticed anything else without power, it's the bulb. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Is the bulb something that can be replaced or do I need a brand new unit? Cuatro Por Cuatro

You can replace the bulb and it's very cheap.
The difficult part is removing the cigar lighter. Ideally, you need to get underneath the console and squeeze the cigar lighter mounting clip. You can sometimes force it out without getting underneath but be careful you don't damage either the cigar lighter or more importantly the centre console. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Perfect. I will go the bulb route first. See if i can find it anywhere here in the us.
I am familiar on how to reach the socket, so that should not be a problem, I hope! Smile
Thank you all.
I will post the results. Cuatro Por Cuatro

Well... I was able to remove the bulb just reaching from under the gear shifter. But could not put it back together afterwards.
So after several attempts I ended up braking the housing that holds the bulb Censored
Now I must buy the whole cigarette lighter housing.

Any ideas for the part number here in the US? or if flebay in the UK has one for sale?

Thanks Cuatro Por Cuatro

I found the parts online The actual socket housing is LR003987
and the glow ring is YXD500040 as superspark had stated before.

I am going to order both for a total of less than $20 Cuatro Por Cuatro
