Don't forget assisted housing. Used to live in a very exclusive village, then they began to build 15 affordable houses. They crammed them in, the usual blue timber fronts, allocated to people with social problems, single mothers and others with little liquidity etc. etc. when they move in, Hell will break loose! I can just see it. It will become a ghetto. It's not a snobby thing as far as i am concerned, the village has lousy bus services, only one small shop and pricey to buy a house. But that's why people want to live here, well, the ones with a few quid. They don't want social housing, period! Personally, I'll sell up and move elsewhere. It's not down alone to the affordable houses, it's mostly down to wannabes buying new 3 bedroomed detached desres homes and their Ford Focus! Is nothing sacred? Pushing their kids about in their Mothercare prams, dressed in A Next Shell Suit, so it goes on. We will be getting a Farm Foods outlet next!

Good enough! Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well.

the panic buying has started, all of the local garages by me have had queues all day long, managed to dive in during a quiet spell to fill up - should have seen the queue behind me by the time I had squeezed £80 worth of diesel in Big Cry

Could be a bit of a bummer, I'm off to Cornwall visiting family over the Easter and no doubt if it happens it will coincide with the holiday break for most people.
I'm travelling the early hours of the morning so traffic should be light and fuel hopefully available.

Whatever next - a new Thread entitled "Stamp Protest Brewing"

The headlines: "Queues Forming Outside Post Offices - Stamp Buying Avalanche" and "Royal Mail to be rebranded The Peoples' Mail" with significant price cuts on there way at the cost of no weekend deliveries and off-shore islands of Britain to get deliveries only every other day.

"Pensioners Protest - Cannot Get To Nearest Post Offices" - local reporter quoted as saying: "Since the local village Post Office closed pensioners cannot get to nearest town's Post Office to buy stamps before the price rise because local busses are being cancelled due to lack of diesel fuel".

Labour claim Pensioners are starving as "Meals-on-Wheels" are not rolling and they could deliver cheap stamps as well.

Tories claim help is on its way - they've drafted in the RAF to do food/stamp drops as the Army is still preoccupied trying to learn how to drive oil tankers. The NAVY are going on strike as they claim that oil tankers are their job.

Lib Dems claim the NHS can deliver 1st Class services - everyone including the armed forces, the Royal Mail, the NHS and voluntary services claim the Lib Dems are simply out-of-touch and have reminded the LiB Dems that the NHS delivers babies not stamps.
