you forgot to mention the police cuts, our local police station closes at 6pm each day Rolling Eyes

on the plus side most of the Sunday papers are now half price Laughing

Sorry shilen I didn't realise the Police were now cutting up stamps Shocked Why? With perforated edges stamps are very easy to separate by hand without the use of a sharp instrument. Confused

Idiots, I wonder how long it will be before these misguided, knuckle dragging, wastes of DNA start to panic buy food too? That will surely start to run out as all the countries fuel will be sat in their vehicles on their drives. Rolling Eyes

Make the petrol stations charge a minimum of £50 per purchase, it will stop the fuel hoppers spending £10 at every opportunity and causing queueing which leads to rumours and escalated panic buying.

Unfortunately the Tories advice have been given to top up and keep a full jerry can in your garage, much to the disgust of the fire service. Shocked

One taxi company in Blackburn, last time fuel was short, were found to have two wheelie bins in the front room of a house, one petrol, one diesel.

what fantastic advice from the idiots in power so now the riots can start all over again with the added bonus that the rioters will know that every house that has a car might be storing petrol in the shed well done to the bafoons in power as far as disputes go we need to take a leaf out of the French every time they strike it gets a result Thumbs Up rainy-city

Thank you Taztasic for such a wonderful suggestion

Two points, our small cars only take around £40 to fill from empty ! mostly only about £28-33.00 to fill & because they have small tanks they have limited range ! We are off to visit a very poorly relative this weekend and have to travel over the distance that our tank range allows ! so we need to take some fuel in a Gerry can to make sure we get there and back ! So I am not panic buying but we have to visit as it may be our last !

The train is hopeless as its 5 changes and takes 7 hrs to do the trip by train and will also cost £136.00 for two of us to spend 14 hrs travelling whereas the car we can do it in 4 hrs for around £45.00 return

Not using the FR2 due to its unreliability ! I Dont want to get stranded and still cant trust it after three years of continued unreliability.

£30 for super minis then Whistle

I am sure you understand what I mean. I sympathise with your situation, it will be yourself and others in similar situations, whose situation will become a lot worse because of mindless people hoarding fuel.

Hope all goes as well as it can for the weekend.

Paul

Theres no tanker drivers strike planned at all, it was just a ploy set up by the government to get everyone queueing up for fuel to spend their money and hence bring it more tax quicker, someone heard the public were tightening their belts and spending less, now they are spending more, slackened their belts and their trousers are about to fall down.
Nexts weeks plan is to announce a housing shortage so prices go up and they will get more stamp duty in.
Week after that, its a water shortage so everyone panic buys bottled water which by then will have VAT on that one too.
