I don't think it's fair to say that all low mileage cars are worse than high mileage in relation to clutch wear.

I've only put about 1,000 miles on in the 4.5 months i have had the car but that's because i don't use it much but when i do, it's motorway miles mainly Smile

To be fair, I didn`t say "all low mileage " - I sprinkled the word "probably" liberally through my post.
But I dread to think what the cost per mile in depreciation alone is, when you only do such a low mileage. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Met someone today who is about to trade in his 07 SE manual with 158000 miles on the clock and he's had no problems with clutch, steeering or anything else. Needless to say he's replacing it with a 12 XS manual.

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Nazca Sand

My 07 has 90k plus on it now, apart from the rear dif' bearing being replaced, (which was almost certainly a warranty issue that wasn't recognised by LR), it has been faultless.

Having said that I was towed off the motorway on Monday due to no clutch, turns out the slave has gone so i'm awaiting a new unit plus clutch and DMF to be fitted but it was the original clutch so no real complaints. It has been a pleasure to own so i'd say, no....not one to avoid Thumbs Up
