If you have to ask I guess the answer is no. You could try a Busa powered 7 clone as a bit of a halfway house. 09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey 71 Triumph Stag 3L 68 NGTCV8 3.5L |

l can understand your concern for your parents but the bike was not the route cause of you accident the driver was, if you had been knocked over on a Zebra Crossing would you feel bad about going out for a walk again?

Look at yourself and ask what sort of a rider you are. That will give you your answer.

Interesting thing about those types of courses John ( I did the Honda MAC - all ex plod) is that the people who attend are probably the people who least need to, as by attending they have already recognised that they do not know everything. I'm going to take " our young 'un" on a BikeSafe later in the year.

I voted 'no' although i did ride again after a very serious RTA. I only did a mile or so; the old 'the longer you leave it' syndrome.

Chris taztastic has succinctly stated the answer to your question. "Your life" So what you have to answer is what's of prime importance in that life of yours. Only you can answer that. By presenting the question here you exhibit uncertainty in what you want foremost in that life and no one can answer that for you - not even your nearest and dearest. You must decided. The experiences of others are not relevant. |

I know what you mean Martyn. To cop never went over the speed limit but to start with I had to do 90 to catch up with him! (Before we set out he told me that I was not going to be done for speeding) All down to observation and anticipation. When he was following me it was quite amusing as he was on the full plod bike with blues and everything and I am sure the cars we overtook thought he was after me! The best fun you can have on a bike is riding with plod....everyone gets out of the way! John 07 HSE Narvick Black Land Rover Series One Triumph Rocket 111 (sadly gone!) |

After nearly 20yrs away from bikes I got back in the saddle. Not road bikes however, but greenlaning. I have as much if not more fun than before without really going very fast. Completely different skills needed and I'm not too proud to say that I'm rubbish at it! Nevermind, it gets me on a bike and is much safer than being on the road. |
