If a source of power is attached to any wheel you can induce wheel spin - LR's are not immune to the laws of physics. |

Athelstan is right, when torque exceeds grip, the wheels will spin. FL2 is far better than most because of the torque split going to the rear during drive away (even when TR is in "normal") but the nose is lifting so weight comes off the front wheels and traction control won't react until the wheelspin as started.

traction control is on all the time i think I'm probably in need of a new clutch as its biting point is very high |

I've had 2 manual Freelanders and on normal road driving have not experienced any wheelspin when pulling away.

I have one junction near me that I can induce wheel spin very very easily but the circumstances are pretty exceptional and in a front wheel drive 1.2 clio it practically impossible to pull out of this junction without a lot of wheel spin. An old road surface, a little water, adverse camber, lots of lock and steep incline all combine to get the front left wheel slipping for a second or two if you pull away with normal amounts of throttle. The TC kicks in and all comes together very quickly with no fuss or bother.

If it was me, I would check my tyre pressures and wheel alignments. |
