]Very disappointed at the moment. Ordered New F2 and they keep moving goal posts on delivery!!! Was gonna be mid March now mid April - Not a good first impression - if the salesman cant guarentee March will cancel! Shame was getting really excited up til now - leaves bad taste in mouth and makes u wonder!!! They have til 7th March to give me a March date - you would think they would jump hoops for a cash buyer??

if its any help i orderd my 2011 speck car in june 2010 i had to wait till end of sept 2010 but it was worth it go back to the dealer and ask him for some compensation for cancelled delivery dates the least he could offer you is a half day off roading with l/rover experance he should be able to do this as the vouchers are given to the dealers by l/rover. if he try s to shy away ask will he contact l/rover customer services to put your disappointment across and ask him for the tel number and you phone them as well and you may get a free factory tour out of it which is excellent to see these cars being made  rainy-city

Will do tx Big a was gonna give the salesman a tough time on 7th thats when he gets back from Aus... Might go for the small extras that I forgot to add see if he will meet costs:) its just a shame as this would be my first brand new car and will feel that its 2 months old instead of new reg:) see what next week brings

The salesman cannot guarantee a March date, he doesn't build them, if you reason with them you may get a response, if you go in all guns blazing, do they really want, or need that sort of client?
You dont say when you ordered or indeed what spec, is there something unusual that may be causing a delay?

Good luck and hang in there, it will be worth it.

I ordered 2 months ago... Its an sd4 xs no real extras other than arm rests,,, comes with most of what I needed - also stuck with white as it seems to be the standard colour - Salesman stopped me buying the one in the showroom cos I could have had the new one as soon as new reg was due:) hey ho hopefully worth the wait.....

I find been firm but fair is better than shouting

8 weeks is pretty quick, mine was about 12 I think, new reg doesn't help as it pushes production to the limit, far more bits will be incorrectly fitted, bodged or simply left off

It will be worth it and getting it with just the undercoat means you can get the right colour when you find one

Appreciate the welcome hopefully will be worth it - was going to get a f2 last year but wifey talked me down.... So just being impatient - hate waiting for most things - hopefully best things worth waiting for....
Guess unlike other manufacturers they dont have large stock waiting to go out - so could be a good thing

SD4 is a fantastic motor

Hope so..... planned to take some time off to get used to it and show it off......

But seriously, our Jan order for two is on a 7mth lead (delivery promised late June early July) we need them for the medical practise no later than Aug1.
