Roof rails again.
Have I understood it correct that Part n. LR007220 is for Sunroof and called RAIST Roof rails, and LR006608 is for plain roof (only called) Roof rails?
I have a meeting with my LR-dealer tomorrow.

Just ordered my Thule's roof bars today,

Spoke to Roofbox directly I have not ordered for the locks on mine as she said they couldn't be removed once the doors are closed and obviously locked, but did says that locks would only act as a extra deterent.

Is it true that the bars cannot be removed from the feet once they are in fitted in place on the car.

When i use them I'll have a £1000 of snowboards on them and i do want them secure.

I have a snowboard carrier which locks, and to me this is more secure than placing them in the car when windows smash very easy.

Normally one of us would wait with the car when we stop off at service stations, but they don't let you wait in the car on the ferry.

True it should not be possible to remove them with the door closed but the locks only cost £10 and the extra peace of mind is probably worth the expense.

Ahh, I see. I've not taken the road abroad just to the cairngorms and to various airports in the uk. you should have seen the sales guy's face when I turned up with a 167cm burton wheelie bag to check that it would fit in the boot.

Could anyone post some pictures of the LR007220 roof bar?
I need a picture of the interior part of the longitudinal bar and the connection with the horizontal bar.

I'm getting a lot of noise and i'm suspect the kit comes with the wrong longitudinal bars...

The longitudinal bars are different from one kit to another. In those instructions I can't see the ones that come with LR006608

When I bought my roof rails, the salesman had both - LR006608 and LR007220. I couldn`t see any difference between them.

Have you got a sun('moon')roof or not?

The only difference between the 2 versions is on the underside of the fixed crossbar.
If you have 3 x plastic strips underneath, it's a 'fixed roof' kit (LR006608). If there's ony one, full width plastic strip, it's a 'sunroof' kit (LR007220).

Doh, tryping error!

I have the correct version, LR007220.
Before the delaer installed the other version and I had much more noise than now. But even with the correct kit, I think the noise isn't acceptable.
My suspecious is that the dealar only replace the cross bar at the rear and not the entire kit...

I'm getting a lot of wind noise, that's all.

Anyone had a good look to see if a similar system to the disco 3 with recessed rails is possible.
I had a disco 3 and had the Rhino system fitted? No noise when cross bars not fitted.
Anyone with any ideas

Can anybody tell me if you can still get into the multi Storey car parks with the roof rails fitted and the cross bars on.
