Just ordered my Thule's roof bars today, Spoke to Roofbox directly I have not ordered for the locks on mine as she said they couldn't be removed once the doors are closed and obviously locked, but did says that locks would only act as a extra deterent. Is it true that the bars cannot be removed from the feet once they are in fitted in place on the car. When i use them I'll have a £1000 of snowboards on them and i do want them secure. |

I have a snowboard carrier which locks, and to me this is more secure than placing them in the car when windows smash very easy.

True it should not be possible to remove them with the door closed but the locks only cost £10 and the extra peace of mind is probably worth the expense. |

Ahh, I see. I've not taken the road abroad just to the cairngorms and to various airports in the uk. you should have seen the sales guy's face when I turned up with a 167cm burton wheelie bag to check that it would fit in the boot. joe MY11 Fuji white Td4 150 GS straight up no mixer. |

The longitudinal bars are different from one kit to another. In those instructions I can't see the ones that come with LR006608 |

Anyone had a good look to see if a similar system to the disco 3 with recessed rails is possible.
