Interesting point CG. I was under the impression though that if, after going to Sport mode, once you used Command Shift Sport mode 'disengaged' - effectively leaving you with a 'manual' gearbox with auto downchange.

another reason why a manual box is better Also with a manual and you want sport mode, all it needs is to just twidel the knob to sand (sport) and away you go 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

[quote="chicken george"]quite a few fl2 drivers have mentioned the same thing on here, just check when you are motorway driving in auto that the car has notched up to 6th its often quite happy staying in 5th at legal motorway speed[quote]

Well said Philsh, auto driving is a technique, not just a lazy stomp n steer exercise. |

thats a difference then as the rrs is quite happy in 5th at 65-70, not over reving just happily cruising, its only when you command shift to 6th that you realise it was in 5th. once in 6th it stays there for the duration At work
