With the snow soon to arrive a work colleague asked me what changes when you turn the traction control to the snow & ice settting. I said that in normal mode power in split 70-30 (front to back) but in snow setting power is split equally 50-50. Am i right? didnt want to sound like a fool so had to say something - he accepted my explanation, just wondering if i was right thouugh.. |

I think the ratios may be out a little, in standard mode I believe it can be 50:50 from start off up to 90:10 at speed and varied according to need in between.

Someone once mentioned small primates acting within the wheels, the RRS is more advanced requiring just a single larger primate

The EMS is remapped to provide more gradual torque delivery for given accelerator pedal travel to reduce the risk of wheel spin. Automatic gearbox will change up early to minimise loss of traction.

Really? From standstill I would have thought the opposite, then transferred forward as the speed increases, becoming 90:10 front/rear once at speed? |

Had a play on quiet roads earlier, GGS is certainly well damped although it holds onto gears for a long while, agree with corners though, have to have your wits about you.
