Headlight Washer Jets

Hi, can anyone tell me how to refit the tubes to the headlight washer jets, they fell off at some point so I just wash the road now,

Thanks...Mally DEEPRUN

I am not definite, but can you get to them from the wheel arch backing. Remove the two screws under fog lights in front bumper and you can pull this out slightly. Might work.

Thanks, thought it might be, thats not too easy a job, tried fitting some headlight guards last week that needed the headlights out, that meant bumper and grill off, what a nightmare, last two screws are there somewhere but could I hell as like find em, gave up and went to plan B, I'll carry on washing the road I guess Smile

Thanks again...Mally DEEPRUN

Huh Question , bumper and grill off to get the headlights out Question , grill just clips in and headlights are just 2 bolts on the top.

or at least it's like that on a 2007 model. ______________________

only joined this forum a hour ago and think its great, we all love FL2 right, only had mine 3 weeks and I'm in love, spent about a grand on goodies already, side steps, rear roof spoiler, sat nav to fill that hole in the dash, hated that, lots more bits and pices, my wife going nuts lol, everything is real easy to fit except them front headlight guards, a real bitch but done now on plan B, on top of all that I just bought a private plate yesterday, wanted one all my life with my initials, not told my wife yet, will she even notice, what the hell you only live once, haha should I have just said that, well I bought the car for her as I drive my van all week but wow the FL2 is awesome Smile DEEPRUN

If you are still stuck with those screws, drop me a line. I can tell you where they are AND I know a very easy short cut to detaching and replacing the bumper. You know the point where you ease the bumper over the wing lugs etc. My way avoids any tugging or pulling.

Just noticed the other day that my passenger side headlight washer was cleaning the drive!!!!

Have just, in the dark with a torch, forced my hand up between the wing and the wheel arch liner (just like sticking your hand up a cows chrome piece! ) and found the connector on the pipe not attached to the jet unit - pushed it back on and hey presto Thumbs Up 2002 Honda VFR800

What surprised me most was that the washer fluid/water must have been running all over the lower fog light and it still seems to work ok Thumbs Up

You're worried about a little washer fluid on the foglights? Pah!

If you undo the screws that are used to fit the spats and pull away the plastic trim you can just get to see the washer tubes, so you may be able to push them back on from there.

I always knew that Australians go to great lengths to get a job done - but really - using dirty brown water to clean your headlights instead of proper screen washer fluid is being a bit of a cheap skate. Wink

Grand photo though Thumbs Up
