I've just discovered my locking wheel nut key is missing. I bought the freelander (used) about 7 months ago from a main dealer and it went back to them about 4 months ago for a warranty repair on the rear brakes by the same supplying dealer. I've just come to replace tyres and discovered the key is missing.

dealer should have a master key, a new set of nuts and key isnt much more expensive than just a key, so get them to replace the lot At work

Hi Guys. Many thanks for your help. First time this has happened to me but I'll be more careful in future and use the box on the front seat tip! Thanks again. |

Went to Stratstone Bury to have my new wheel nuts fitted. I have posted my dissatisfaction about them during the purchase of my new car but the service guy was excellent. The job took less than half an hour but he still offered to wash & vac the car.

In the words of Victor Meldrew, I don’t believe it. I felt a bit sorry for the guy (I must be going soft) he had been to get the okay from the sales person and they were probably saying “oh no not him” He came back all sheepish with a printout to prove that the cost was pucker

If the tyre has any tread, that’s a bargain |

There is a thread on here somewhere that the Jack is about £28, the tray is no longer fitted, they stopped fitting the tray a couple of years ago. All the spare wheel set up consists of now is, The Wheel, The wheel retaining bolt, wheel nut spanner and the Jack followed by the most important bit, the elastic band on the Jack. |

It holds the wheel nut brace to the Jack to stop it rattling, I kid you not.. |
