after hiring a de humidifier alternate between full heat and full cold as you drive, this will evaporate the water when on hot then dry the air when on cold.

or just stick a fan heater in the car with all the windows open parked outside your house, in garage if raining ( you may have learnt about that the hard way

thanks guys, went a 5 hour drive yesterday and seems to be drying out nicely.

a neighbour loaned me a dehumidifier this morning and it's running in the car at the moment.

ps may leave it running overnight ? what do you think ?

it's an Amcor TC100 dehumidifier and looking it up on the internet it doesn't work well below 4 degrees centigrade.

I'll switch it off tonight and back on tomorrow.

Yes, but after it has been switched on in a closed car for more than a few minutes it will be well above 4 degrees, so will work well.
At home we dry washing using a dehumidifier in a small room - much more economical than using direct heat like a tumble dryer which just pushes expensive warm air outside through a vent!. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

you could be right nicam, had it on for about 6 hours today but no water in the plastic container.

maybe it's near enough dried out.................
