Sounds like a good price to me. I was told mine is worth £18k, 10 plate 17k miles (pretty much same spec as yours).

5% discount should be easy, also hit them hard on the cost of any extras, the dealer makes more on those so should have more room to manoeuvre.

If i want to trade in the only thing I ever ask is " How much will it cost to change ? " the list price and the trade in value are to some extent irrelevant , and at any time you never know what the dealer has in his pot to play with , so rather than have them playing a confusing game of numbers with you , ask as may dealers as possible including online dealers that question, then it's a case of reducing the lowest cost to change by going around and around the dealers untill the point they tell you to get lost ! remember there is a recession on and unseasonably good weather, The local dealer is stacked out with motors at the moment 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership 2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned ! 2023 Toyota Hilux invincible X 2.8 Auto . |
