Newbie looking for after market sat nav advice

Gents

Looking to buy a 2010 eTD4 Sport with no Sat Nav. Part of the criteria was Sat Nav.

Are there any aftermarket options?

Many Thanks in advance.

Glenn

some sony satnavs fit in the hole perfectly.

some people have changed the whole radio unit for an aftermarket sat nav/radio screen , not without parking sensor integration dilemmas

others just jam a garmin in the hole and go. its fairly easy to route the charger cable through the back of the hole for tidyness.

others say 'sod all that' and buy a RRS with sat nav built in

I have a Tom Tom XL IQ jams in the hole a treat, lies flat when not in use, cable routed through back of cubby hole and picks up power from F5 in passenger footwell fusebox.

Get yourself a garmin, you can update every day if you want to, not waiting for LR to issues annual updates, plus you can move it from car to car. Works a treat and saves you thousands to get an LR one and it's better.  MY2014 SD4 XS

This is my attempt -> http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic9734.html?highlight=1695

I'm currently in the process of improving this... As I have on order the a new SD4 GS.

The 1695 is good for traffic updates and the Goggle search functions, which uses a mobile data sim card.

Hoping to get the car in a couple of week will show you the updated version then. Thumbs Up

Has anyone bought an OEM sat nav from LR after purchasing the vehicle?
Is this possible and if so how much are they?

Just all out of curiosity of course Whistle

I notice these people can supply (and install if you're local) a Garmin kit with all you need to do the job:

Ah yes the angel Inn, I wasn't there though, I was at a local farm machinery shop buying a new crop sprayer.

There is another RRS in that village, parked in the same place an FL2 used to park, another wise driver upgrading Thumbs Up At work
