Exactly, it is our own opinions only, there are many out there with differing ones as the market portrays. Manufacturers have surely an uphill battle as to how much different you can make a car, every combination has been applied, there just can't be many practical changes left without making a truly radical change. |

Judging by the length of time for the delivery of my FL2 (August to December) I’d say a big fat YES! |

I would say pop to the local dealer, have a drive in one then ask for one of those Landrover half day experience vouchers & drive one off road. I did & it was fantastic. You can have them with used or new, a decent dealer will offer you one, sadly like me first time round, dealt with Pratstones, you need to beg. |

I was given a voucher when I initially expressed interest in the Evoque, one was sent in the post but after over a week it didn't arrive & I then went into the dealer again & they gave me another. The next day the first one arrived but they let me keep it. I went to the Luton Hoo site & took my brother in law. When I placed the order for the Evoque they gave me another which I shall use in March.

They are far more luxurious than the FL2 with more tech toys - basically a smaller RRS. This accounts for why they are more expensive than the FL2 but not as much as its larger sibling. The Evoque is a proper 4x4 - it can do everything the FL2 can do and according to LR Experience chaps I've spoken to a little bit more too! And you really cannot compare how the Evoque drives on-road to the FL2. The FL2 drives like a typical SUV, not bad but nothing exciting. The Evoque like a 3-series BMW. (I'm making direct comparisons from experience but comparing to the Dynamic Si4 with Sports mode and Dynamic mode enabled). I've owned a Discovery 4 and downsized to the Evoque...I've driven the RRS and found the Evoque a better, more enjoyable road experience which is where it will be most of the time. Space? Roof racks and roof basket or box. Problem solved. 6-footers fit in the back of the Coupe comfortably and the front has more legroom than the RRS! It is a brilliant design really. |

Unfortunately they were having you on, look at and compare the specs. FL2 beats the Evoque in Approach Angle, Ramp Breakover Angle, Departure Angle, so while it is more modern in design and may be on par offroad, it certainly isn't better. |
