It's a great car, manual or auto....... so lets leave it at that, the end.

that's an interesting point, why are rally cars all manual ? because it gives them the control they need to keep it on the road. also rally drivers tend to be very good drivers................................ Iain |

Depends on the car. Certainly on the FL2 the manual is miles better. The end. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

I have a manual, (now with serrated grooves too). I have owned at least three other brand autos but never driven an FL2 auto, so cannot enter the poll. Choice of manual or auto is entirely subjective. On the face of it, manuals should be more reliable, however, the DMF (as fitted to many diesels, not just FL2) can give rise to reliability issues, especially when subject to rough use, which the FL2 can be subject to with many towing and off-roaded etc. Therefore it is a difficult judgement as to which is the most reliable. All I know is that my FL2 is manual, on its original clutch and DMF and has exceeded 80,600 miles. And I like it! |

I have a manual, probably for the same reason I use the stairs instead of the lift, keeps you fit. |
