I would hazard a guess, that they would default to a straight ahead position, as should be the case if they failed.

As above. The theory is adaptives should be okay as they would default to the straight ahead position. I don't know anyone who's done it. I think there was someone on here a while ago that did it with success. |

Indeed, they should default to straight ahead.
The autoleveling only ECU is different from the AFS+autoleveling ECU. So you must change it too if you have xenons without AFS and you want AFS. But it isn't the case of exmilade as he will do the "autoleveling" manually. |

I didn't seen/used a IDS until now, but I suppose it has something to do with the editing/modifying of the car's configuration file.

I have received the D1S bulbs (Philips XenStart) and I am waiting for the ballast. Will I need anything more to install the new bulbs to the car. Will really be the same the connector of the ballast and the carīs h11 connector.
