Where would be better Woking or South Wales?
not as expensive as the Autologic Diagnostic system needed to change the CCF Wink
I'm more likely to be near Woking than south Wales

BTW, the CCF can be changed prior to fitting the HiD units

I have standard lights & would like the normal Xenons. If it is a simple case of just changing the units & maybe a relay or similar then I would be up for it but will it affect the warranty?
What costs are involved?
Where is the best place to get the Xenon units from? (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

Xenon's are easy to come by on fleabay - mine cost £200.

There easy to change over and I mean EASY simple 2 bolts and thats it so warranty isssues are not a problem.

When you put them in they work in the same way as normal headlamps plus you can still adjust the height with the control inside - not perfect but better than nothing.

no matter, I can confirm the software fix works Cool nice one Autologic! Thumbs Up
Cost is from £45 inc vat depending on your location of course, activating the HiD lights & cruise control at the same time is £60 inc vat, excluding the switch pack obviously!

sounds good, if you are ever near tunbridge wells kent, I am interested in the ccf mod as I want to add xenons in the near future.

cheers

Question: why do a lot of xenon headlights on ebay seems to come without the high beam bulb?
Is the xenon only on the low beam?
What bulb type is the high beam, is it expensive?

High beam bulb on Xenons is just a H7, Halogen lights have 2x H7 1 for headlights and 1 for Full beam,

Anyone converted the high beam H7 to xenon? I was thinking of a 50w H7 canbus kit but the overdesigned bulbholder will probarbly kill the idea....

Thoughts?

The reason that main beams are often left as halogens is due to the fact that HIDs take a while to reach their full brightness and don't like to be flashed on and off. Therefore a main beam application would be pretty unusable. The only exceptions are the 'bi-xenon' setups which have a solenoid that moves either the light source or reflector to change beams. Cheers,

I know how they work and still I would like to convert. Done both Audis and BMWs but they had 'normal' bulbholders. The Freelanders bulbholder is somewhat unusual, thats why I am asking for advice...
