Magifoam - Do I need to buy the Autobrite lance

Hi,

After reading some of you chaps rave about Magifoam, I have decided to get some for myself.

It is sold in Australia at http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...snow_foam_ but they recommend the use of the AB Snow Foam Lance which is quite expensive http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...foam_lance

My pressure washer has a detergent reservoir and sucks detergent up when in low-pressure mode. Can I just rely on the pressure washers system or did you all have to buy the special lance?

I did try calling the website but they weren't too helpful. I don't think he understood what I was asking. From their pictures, none of their lance connectors would work on my pressure washer anyway!

Cheers,
Whytey 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

I think you will probably find that the snow lance is more effective at producing foam whereas your pressure washer will just cover the car in a less foamy solution which will not 'linger' as much and therefore will not soften the dirt as well. Cheers,

snow lances have a venturi to draw air into the product creating foam.

All of the product does however run down the drain and cause pollution, so be careful and catch it all for recycling wont you At work

Raz is absolutely spot on Whytey, it does just that. Yes it foams 'a bit' but not how it should. I know he'll gloat over it and we'll never hear the last of it, but I also have to say that CG is right with the venturi comment Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up

(Toeknee 'forced' me into buying a foam lance +/- £40 Gbp, which should arrive anyday now Very Happy )

Edit: Not sure what make your machine is but fyi the 'Bosch' and 'Sealey' connectors = the same.

They're the only clean bits, Mum always said "Don't forget to wash behind your ears" never did work out why I should only wash those bits, rest of me's a bit minging Laughing

Anyway, back on track, kids have bought me a karcher foam lance attachment thing and a bottle of snow foam, as soon as the big guy with the red coat has been I can try them. The Karcher thing was £20 off Amazon, much cheaper than the Autobrite lance, £45 for an old pop bottle with a nozzle Rolling Eyes
