..... kids have bought me a karcher foam lance attachment thing and a bottle of snow foam, as soon as the big guy with the red coat has been I can try them. The Karcher thing was £20 off Amazon, much cheaper than the Autobrite lance, £45 for an old pop bottle with a nozzle Rolling Eyes

Hope I'm very wrong Paul but the kit I got with the power washer just applied the liquid mix - small amount of bubbles lots of liquid and didn't actually 'foam it up'...and the nozzle is brass but yes does have a pop bottle under it Laughing

Hmm? hope it works for the kids sake, they'll be gutted, I think it should be OK, have decent snow foam that foams now just on low power, as CG said, as long as there is air it should foam, I will post pics by boxing day Laughing

you should see foam produced by my 3 phase 190 bar 20 l / minute industrial power washer. I can fully coat the insides of a 10,000 sq ft chicken shed in around 10 minutes. should be able to fill a fl2 fully with foam in about 5 seconds , should anyone want a upholstery clean Laughing

The main elements for foam making are the air venturi and the correct foaming solution At work

I think you will probably find that the snow lance is more effective at producing foam whereas your pressure washer will just cover the car in a less foamy solution which will not 'linger' as much and therefore will not soften the dirt as well.

Censored ! Oh well, I bought some anyways to have a try. To be honest, I generally like the job of washing my car by hand so it is no problem if it doesn't work properly. I mainly wanted it for the wheel arches and stuff. You guys use it under there right? 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

All of the product does however run down the drain and cause pollution, so be careful and catch it all for recycling wont you

No worries, living on an acre block, it won't be running anywhere but into the gardens. Maybe it will kill some on the weeds Smile 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

Not sure what make your machine is but fyi the 'Bosch' and 'Sealey' connectors = the same.

Thanks!

It is a cheaper petrol driven unit that I got here in Australia. It has the same connectors as the karcher petrol driven unit, and not the standard karcher bayonet fitting ones.

The bottom right picture below provides a good representation of how I change the nozzles on the lance.

You pull the collar back on the lance part to insert or remove the nozzles.

To be honest, the washer is a Christmas present and whilst I have opened to box to check it is all there, I haven't actually gotten it out to play with it yet. I am wandering if there is a threaded connector close to the handle on the lance, so that I can unscrew the wand portion of it and screw on the special AB foaming lance.

Ahh well, I will just play with it as it is and see if it just works.

Thanks for all your help guys!

Cheers,
Whytey

Hey Whytey.

You could always buy it from the UK.
If you know someone who lives there it would be cheaper for them to post out on your behalf. If Autobrite posts direct to Oz, it's really expensive but works out only $15 more, compared to the Oz site, if you buy the foam as well.

This way you also get a choice of fittings shown on their website.

Or, you can just buy the correct fitting from them!
