Going out this morning the TR was on the normal setting. I drove into some drifted snow about a foot deep and I changed to SGG and there were two beeps. After I had got back on to normal snow I changed back to the normal setting and again got two beeps. Later on when I tried the SGG setting it didn't do it.

I was only going about 15 MPH at the time I got the beeps, any ideas what this was for? Andyfr

I've just had a glance through and can only find a reference to "if the system can't engage a special program it will warn you" but doesn't state whether the warning is visual or beeps. 2002 Honda VFR800

......so if the beeps were to warn you the TR was not working then maybe you would have noticed it

In all fairness, if I select GGS there is barely a difference, especially if the conditions are slippery as I tend to be driving quite steadily anyway. It affects the throttle response which on very light throttles you will not really notice, the 4wd balanced across all wheels rather than to the rear makes the steering go a little heavier, although in snow you may not notice this.

MudnRuts engages HDC so you get the green car symbol illuminated on the dash, in Sand mode the slightest touch of the throttle has you hurtling down the road, both of these modes have obvious signs of selection, not so with GGS in my experience.

When driving along if you raise the handbrake slightly you will get the two warning beeps along with a brief message on the Info display, similiar beeps to what you had, it may be that you missed the message? I imagine the dealer should be able to download the error messages and perhaps tell you what it was?
