Not sure what that could be. I have just sold my 2010 HSE TD4e & never noticed anything down there. The CD's are stored behind the facia where you load them in. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Ok, but already been down that road & a couple of posts on the topic. Uncertainty is how much updating between discs. Garmin took about 3 years to put a new road in where I live in Devon!

About that, I wrote to Navteq a while ago about their maps in Romania being extremely poor (cities with over 100k inhabitants not being available in the system. This is their reply: NAVTEQ updates the database on a daily basis. This database is made available to the navigation system, portable device or car manufacturers on a quarterly basis. It is the navigation system, portable device or car manufacturer’s decision whether a specific database version will be used to update the map of the navigation system or portable device. It seems they update the database more often than 1 or 2 years, however I did not really understand how you can get the updated database in the nav system. |

From what I've seen the nav disks are like 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, etc.
