I recently replaced the whole light fitting and found it surprisingly easy. Just a bit awkward working up high.

Yes, you need to remove the trim. I'd start removing the two screw in the trim. Then at the bit by the rear wiper, you can get your fingers in, then prize it off all round - simples. Some of requires a fair tug.

...exactly what I did last night - broke 2 of the plugs trying to get the trim back on |

Why removing all the trim when you need to remove only the top portion??? |
