Fitting Side Steps

Hi Guys, I have bought some side steps on eBay and have to admit that I havent a clue how they fit to the FL2. I understood from the seller that I need to install 6 Rivnuts but that is about it Laughing
Can anyone give me any pointers? Here's a couple of pics to help with any explanations

 Cheers,
Raz

Search Rivnut on here there is loads of info. It is a captive nut that fits in the sill under the plastic covers, no drilling needed.
Should take about an hour Rolling Eyes

The brackets on the steps in the photo look OK, the extra brackets in the lower photo don't look like anything connected with the side steps, unless they stick out 12" from the side of the car Laughing

I will second Taz's comments, they look different to the fitting kit on the genuine ones.
You can try here for fitting instructions of the genuine ones.

Thanks for the replies - I think I might have it sussed now.
The steps appear to bolt up to four existing holes in the sills (need a M8 rivnut tool) and then the long brackets go inboard and bolt onto the chassis rails (more rivnuts) creating a brace effect.
I havent a scooby what the strange L shaped brackets do though Rolling Eyes Cheers,
