England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tonga Green

@npinks

There are strict rules about 'picket lines' and they must be followed or otherwise become unlawful.

I think it is to prevent 'mob' type situations.

'Union Rallies/Marches' are different.

Can you imagine 'going to work' and having to walk through 400 pickets rather than 12 Sad 2002 Honda VFR800

I suppose your correct on that side of things, but those who i know who have the day off are younger and just look at it as a day off work/ holiday, i suppose at their age they don't worry about pensions

I think you might be making a broad sweeping statement which may not be too well founded (must admit I put that well Whistle )

Was talking to my Dad last night and he recalled workers he worked with some 40 years who would always vote for a one day 'shopping day' strike but anything longer than one day they voted NO and complained about the union trying to take money out of their pockets Confused 2002 Honda VFR800

it was mentioned on another thread on here regarding winter tyres, is it a marketing ploy to get people to buy them, same could be said of the pensions, we were all advised to get our own pensions, when enough monies were in the fund along came the Dick Turpin, of which they are still doing to this day.

While I'm in the moaning mood Smile

Teachers, they complain and parents get fined if they take their kids out of school during term time for holidays, their reason is the disruption to their education Confused Because it's now reversed does not that reason still hold true Question
How shallow are their words. Exclamation

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black

I'm off today anyway, but went along to the rally to show my support.

Essentially the NHS pensions have always been self managing and in credit. Now the government want us to pay more in and tax us on our pensions in order to balance the nations books. This then runs the risk of putting our pension funds in debt and no doubt when I come to retire there will not be enough money left for me to live off.

Leave my pension alone. Evil or Very Mad Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

If people aren't happy with the government pension, why not take out a private pension whereby your employers contribution would go into and then they can't get their hands on it Question

the Local gov pensions are backed by the gov. if everyone pulls out and pays into a private pot then that will place even more of a burden on the tax payer.

i signed up to the LGPS 24 years now, i had to as it was compulsary then and have paid in every month since. when i joined they said i could retire at 57 under the 80 year rule but thats gone now. they also said id get a nice lump sum, thats gone now. they said i could retire at the latest 65, thats gone now. my contribution would be 6%, thats higher now....

i could go on and on but cant really be arsed, in my view i entered into a contract and played my part only to be told a long long time down the line that nah, chaned us mind mate and you can have F%^ck all now and oh yeah work a bit longer and pay more in each month too Evil or Very Mad freelander 2 SE black and beige - now sold
