So the new Bond film out next year is called 'Skyfall'. Javier Bardem playing the villian.

So I just thought I would open it up for a vote. Who is your favourite James Bond?

Bookies would probably put Connery as favourite.

I was struggling to choose between Brosnan and Craig. I voted for Brosnan but that may change after viewing the new film next year.... LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Gotta be Roger Moore, how cool is skiing off the edge of a mountain, then opening up your Union Jack parachute? The Spy Who Loved Me, best Bond film by far. Can of worms now opened, time for a new vote!

I'd have said Sean Connery, until a saw a few old Bond films over the past couple of evenings. I don't know what's dated faster, the 60's Bond character, or the special effects! Rolling Eyes

Sean Connery is so much better in virtually anything that he's done over the last 20 years - he's just got better and better Thumbs Up

Craig plays it brilliantly, though I really ought to support the Bond that I grew up going to see as a kiddy at the flicks: Roger Moore. The only problem with this is that Roger Moore is so butt clenchingly terrible as 007, that I'm surprised he didn't kill the franchise! Still, it was the 1970s, so we didn't know any better Laughing

Best car (no, it's not the ubiquitous DB5) has to be the white Lotus Esprit. I still remember the shock when it first drove onto the screen; I'd never seen one before.

Strange you should mention the Esprit as I've just bought one, 1979 S2 in yellow. Almost identical to the S1 in the film but better cooling.

For me it's got to be either Timothy Dalton or Daniel Craig. I know that goes against the grain but for the record I couldn't stand Brosnan! 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

That seems to be the case with big movie roles. As much as I or others may have our own preferences, Connery was the original and will always be The James Bond.

I guess it's the same with Christopher Reeve as Superman. Brandon Routh came and went and now we have Henry Cavill in 2013's Man of Steel but Reeve will always be The Superman. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
