If you go to www.mytyres.co.uk and put in your postcode it will show you a list of 'fit only' establishments and their charges. Circa £15 all in in my area. |

I believe ATS? wont fit tyres supplied by anyone else only ones they have supplied, something to do with liablity if one should fail and cause an accident, they dont know how they have been stored either prior to fitment is another reason too.

I checked price recently when considering buying online. ETS tyres in Newark quoted £10 per tyre F&B. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

More likely they want you to buy the tyre from them, Afterall it is a bit like taking your own beer in to the pub and asking for a glass |

'corkage' usually refers to wine being taken to an unlicenced establisment (BYO) that doesn't sell alchohol, ATS do sell tyres and I can't see 'tyreage' catching on with tyre and exhaust centres |

AJS fitted 2 for me yesterday at £15 each. Many local fitters won't touch fitting part worn tyres. One said it was dangerous despite me reminding them that some people swap from summer for winter tryres about now and back again in spring to avoid having to buy another set of wheels. AJS specialise in 4x4s so they are used to it. Good service from AJS - straight in and done in just a few minutes. I suppose the others just want to sell new tyres. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

It may be the Tyre companies are getting a hammering from on line sales, so of they make it harder for you to get them fitted hoping people will think twice about buying on line and pay the local prices.
