I've done 15,000 miles in my 2011MY TD4 (stop/start) manual in the 4 1/2 months that I've had it and it's steadily returned around 32mpg. With the stories of high 30's that people have been reporting I asked them to check it when it was in for its service today and they confirmed that it was about right as far as they were concerned. |

I was getting about the same as pinky, until I had new parts and chipped and now getting 39mpg @ 80mph on a run. 36mpg on the way to work driving it like I stole it. |

On a leisurely run a few weeks back from Hull to Liverpool M62, I achieved 40.6mpg with my SD4.

Absolute best for me was 40.2 mpg on a really good run up the A12 to Suffolk. Never ever been able to repeat that. Generally get 32mpg with mainly town and short distances. On a run expect between 34 - 37 mpg. Ours has done about 20K miles now. |
