Hi CG - hope the shock is wearing off and that you're not thinking twice about stepping out again.

You are right to leave it to the police - often the shock of a call and a little 'friendly' word is enough to put off any repeat but doesn't always bring the satisfaction we all crave........

I thought it was supposed to be peaceful in the countryside? Here's to peace returning.

Oh, and if you see the b*gg*rs give 'em both barrels. You were with me if anyone asks..... Whistle There's always a way forward!

Unfortunately, I wouldn't rely on the Flith to do much. Even if they were inclined, you might be on dodgy ground, two witnesses against one!

no broken bones, teeth etc etc, just feel a bit daft. I should have stayed at a mates house instead of walking home alone, the nutter had already had a jab at me in the pub.

I'm not a fighter, never have been, just got out of my depth with someone I have been avoiding for a long time. At work
At home

Been involved in too many fistiecuffs. Never start them, must just have an unfortunate face. Anyway, someone hitting me would have annoyed me even more.

It's terrible. Hope you are feeling better chicken george. We hear about these things on tv but never expect them. The idiots dont realise that if you had fallen and hit your head etc, it could have been fatal.
I dont know what this world is coming to. It's just getting worse.

United Kingdom

I've been in a fair few in my younger days, chatting up the wrong persons missus or gobbing off over someone pushing in at the bar, but managed to retain my youthful good looks, though I did get a kicking once from when jumped from behind and booted in the head whilst down, the police said they could see a near perfect red outline in the snow where my head was, best bit it wasn't me the bloke was after it was someone else who walked home that way

Then there was the time when the next village over came looking for a fight after 10 of my village beat one of theres the night before, (which i wasn't involved in) I had a chat with one of theres over who it was, which i didn't know, and that was that, sat down at a table with a girl i was aiming to get more friendly with and a drugged up junkie jumped me with a bar stool across the head, smashed it on me, smashed a hand full of beer glasses on me, shashed a large pot ashtry tray, stamped on me and then got dragged outside by the landlord + friends.

What got me was the fact he stood at the pub window with his stanley knife ranting a raving like a loonie whilst cutting the glass, but did a runner before the police turned up, last i heard he went on the run and pulled a machettie on a decective who spotted him in Leeds city centre and eventually got banged up, never was asked to got to court or anything though

I heard it was because he thought i was one of the lads in the previous nights fight as the girl was sat at the ajoining table and she was been watched thinking she knew who had done it, or maybe he saw me as a big green alien with octopus hands, who knows for sure Laughing
