I walked to the pub last Saturday alone along the same path, got to admit to being a little nervous, but I'll be damned if I'm letting the prat get to me and will not be made to feel afraid to walk anywhere in my own neck of the woods.

Good on'ya for getting back on the horse - so to speak - its important to live your
life as it was and not let the bastards gets you down.

My advise: When at the pub, don't order a Punch again! Rolling Eyes

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

Basically me and a few mates were at the bar, I was sat on a bar stool next to a guy whose shed was burnt down recently by a guy who went to prison for that and other arson crimes, one involving a house with people sleeping in it ( I had a huge arson attack 6 years ago culprit unknown/unproven).

Said arsonist who is now out of prison on licence, tried to join in our conversations, I told him that I don't drink with arsonists, a row ensued..I make no apologies for this I will not drink with the man.

I personally don't think He should be back in the village were he committed his crimes, but sadly I don't make the rules.

He was called off by the landlady who warned him about his behaviour, but it wasn't enough for him he later stormed across the pub and violently shoved me off my bar stool. while I picked myself up several guys grabbed him and got him away from me. The landlady ejected him from the pub.
It was then heard that his brother had come in a car to take him home.

About an hour and a half later I set off walking home...... that 10 minute walk/drive took over 3 hours I don't have a clue what happened but it hurt in the morning

Its very rare for me to be so abrupt to someone else, but in this case I am unrepentant.
I do however feel I was suckered into it it all, as he was just looking for trouble and I gave it to him too easily.

But if I had shared a drink /chat with him I would have felt sick inside for the rest of my days. At work
At home

Next time, if there is one, punch first then ask questions later. I couldn't give a toss what the law says, as far as I am concerned you have the right to defend yourself is you feel threatened or being attacked.
