My 07 65,000 mile FL2 had it's rear passenger side wheel bearing changed a few weeks ago.

So any idea why the bearing may have failed, do you live down a rough lane or do you launch a boat. Just trying to get a feel for how this cars been treated |

Bought it in Feb this year - don't know how it had been driven - but with a 12 month warranty didn't worry... I have pushed it hard for the first 6 months to see if anything needed looking at - the bearing is the only thing so far 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

Mind you - thinking about it - get them to check the rear drum brakes (the hand brake) as the 'expanders' may have seized (mine had!) they are quite cheap to replace and in my limited opinion could be a cause for the wheel bearing going????????

Nice of them to be honest with you about it though. Many places would have tried to fob you off. |
