I wouldn't buy either. No kangaroos in Surrey and I will worry about crash repair costs when it happens......

Well, in Norway we have this problem of many cars colliding with a moose. A quite animal weighing almost a ton.

Paul, I cant quite make out your comments.... Thatcham rate security...Not Cost of repair The FL2 achieved a 5star rating (The Maximum rating available) in the Euro NCAP testing, which rates the cost of repair at various speed-impacts...(Including pedestrian impact) '57 FL2 GS Sumatra Blk, Tints, Winterpack, Dodgylooking TowBar, roof rails, Front & Rear LED Indicators, Clear Side repeaters(Led), LED Rear Position/Brake lights, Additional Power-point in the boot & Brighter luggage Illumination fitted |

Get the LR one - looks alot better and has been designed to protect pedestrians and the vehicle. And it has been designed so that it doesn't effect the operation of the air bags. |

How do the middle two parking sensors work on these, with an extra 6" of rubber protuding from the front, won't you be touching walls and things before the sensors give the continuous beep. The non landrover model looks to cover the area where sensor holes are? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

M burton 2, yes Thatcham do assess cost of repair for UK insurance compaines and that forms part of the group rating that cars get. Please see here an example of the testing they do, not just security.

Does cost of repair really warrant putting this on the front of your car, if you knock somebody or something Kangaroo/Moose like over i presume a trip to the local bodyshop and a dozen insurance claim forms are going to be needed anyway. So since your insurance company is paying out, why not have them repair a car without "ugly rubber" as a claim is a claim, you'll effect your No claims bonus anyway (if at fault) if there is a kids head involved they be claiming anyway (or at the parents will) and if you just damage the ugly rubber in the impact your going claim to repair/replace that and investigate if further damage is behind the scenes. (surely these can not take multiple large impacts) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

I wouldn't buy one either. I'm afraid if I'd wanted that level of visual finesse, I'd have bought a Hummer. |
