Tambora Flame is a strange colour that varies hugely depending on the light conditions. In bright lighting in a showroom it looks pretty good, as assume it does in sun. |

I have just been told that the spec I'm after wont be here till Jan/Feb so it looks like I may not be getting a FL2 after all. Seems strange that they are selling them now and happy to take a deposit but if you want a certain colour well that'll be 5 months. |

We have 5 models in UK and I eventually went for the SE which included all the "need" and "really want to have" options, including sat nav, elec seats, heated screens, leather. I have to say that though I agonised about my choice and the cost, I have never regretted it at all.

Probably wants the petrol because diesel over here is $0.10 per litre dearer that petrol and the petrol motor does boogie |

Yes maybe. Diesel fuel is more expensive here too, of late by at least that margin, though it's generally cheaper in many European countries. Even so, that nice 3.2 petrol is a tad guzzly! |

but the diesel engine is also more expensive than the petrol here so it takes over 2 years on average kms to pay back the difference... and you lose all that grunt!

How bizarre is that ... the petrol engine is more expensive here ..... I don't understand that at all.

Think resale value. Would anyone disagree in saying the diesel FL2 will hold its value better than the petrol? |

I have now had my LR2 since October and have put 15,000+ kms on it. I purchased a diesel model for two reasons:-

I bought it through Trivett Classic at Alexandria and they will be doing the servicing. I have been very happy with their work on my previous Peugeot 206's Tony Fountain
