I know this goes against the grain of this thread but my wife uses the courtesy light behind the sun visor as a map/book reading light. Its also on her side of the car so it doesn't distract me as much when I'm driving. Baltic blue XS - Alpaca Leather - 18" HSE wheels. |

If you do not want to be distracted at all go for the new 09 unit. As you probably know by now I am involved with car rallying and my co driver uses the courtesy light for map reading which is OK on the Queens Highway but when traversing forest tracks in the dark even the slightest distraction can end up with you in a ditch. The new unit eliminates this completely, and as per my earlier post all I need to do is get some LED's to improve the light level.
