Lar, the two round pieces of foam in your top picture what is connected to these (Temperature sensor maybe or Microphone) |

In right-hand drive Freelander 2 the BT-microphone is behind the right foam, in left-hand drive vehicles the microphone is behind the left foam. The Microphone is placed as ROVERLAND said. The inside temperature sensor is behind that small grile, adiacent to steering colum, just in front of your left knee on right hand-driven cars, or right knee on left-hand driven vehicles. In other words, adiacent to steering column, towards the radio. |
