England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Stornoway Grey

I think the answer is obvious, always park the drivers side up against the wall, climb over and get out of the nearside, I guess thats what the designers were thinking everyone would do? Shocked

Funnily enough I have actually considered this! Rolling with laughter

I’m still perplexed as to why they have not handed this for left and right driver access. It can’t be that difficult to solve during manufacture, or is it such a rarity that they didn’t think it was worth the expense? Whatever...

Mine is at the dealers today for an attempt at fixing my unpredictable folding mirrors. Looking forward to updating that thread! Must say the Golf diesel turbo they gave me to go home in is quite a nice drive. 57 HSE AUTO with H.I.D's - Grey with Black leather. (H.S.E. Heightadjustable Seats Extra Sad )

I think ist more that the cahnces of the total battery failure and not being able to unlock are small, but if it happens, then how many of those as a percentage will have the passengers door not being able to opem?
The reason as I see it, is that if the battery fails, you open the pax door to get to the hood release.
Nothing to do with volumes of RHD Vs LHD at all.

I asked the question about the manual unlock of the door at the Halewood factory visit, it is the same with the Evoque and is down to the volume of exports (LHD) against the home market. It wasn't worth the aggro of changing it. Sad
