No the Freelander 1 wheels will not fit.

Just gone through the same process and am still convinced the dealer removed the spare wheel and substituted it with the repair kit.

I might have a steel wheel & tyre coming available soon, just need to sort a new tyre out for my alloy spare Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

"Speedway" If you PM me with your full vin number (visible at bottom of windscreen, nearside) I might be able to tell you if your car was supplied with a full size spare wheel or not (when new)....
