United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Santorini Black
No spare wheel!!

Hi All

Got a 57 plate freelander2, S model with 16" alloys. It hasn't got a spare wheel- it comes with a Continental emergency inflation kit with no jack etc, which doesn't fill me with confidence.

Will a wheel off the original freelander fit a freelander 2? Cheap as chips on ebay, but can't find a freelander2 wheel for less than £150.

If a wheel off the old freelander is not an option, would a 17" or 18" wheel (off a freelander2) fit or would I need any kind of spacers etc??

Anyone else found a solution to this one without breaking the bank?

Cheers. Black, S, TD4, Manual.

No the Freelander 1 wheels will not fit.

16, 17, 18, or 19 will fit your car as the tyre profile reduces with the increase in rim size. If it's a 'get you home' tyre you need, search for the LandRover steel 50 mph (Or is it 50 kph) spare.

Edit:
Yours will have 235 or 225/70 x 16
You can fit
235/65 x 17
235/60 x 18
235/55 x 19
All fit in the spare wheel well Thumbs Up

Just gone through the same process and am still convinced the dealer removed the spare wheel and substituted it with the repair kit.
I found a website 1stChoice.co.uk who will circulate your requirements to a couple hundred car breakers then you should receive quotes from anyone with what you want.
Got fixed up last week ok it cost me £135 for a wheel for my SE but the tyre was virtually brand new, still had part of the label on the tread, all the ones I missed on eBay would have required a new tyre which would have been about the same as I paid for the complete package. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Or do what i did and order a full size in the first place.
Its all down to cost and weight and Government stupid CO2 obsessions, that they have to get the weight out.
