I am sure you have tried this, but, uninstall phone and re-pair, it worked for me when I had trouble with my old Nokia. |

Yeah tried that, it connects but within seconds disconnects. It a phone issue as my works phone connects fine |

If possible try another IPHONE 4 to see if you have same problem if yes chance you need software update on LR, I had a similar problem last year on a BMW- very quick fix by dealer |

I have iPhone 4 running the same software version as you and it works well with my 07 Fl2 (although I can't get voice dialling to work reliably). I did ask the dealer at the last service (prior to getting the iPhone) to confirm it was compatible - they said it is with their latest software and checked what my Fl2 had installed - already had latest version. I assume it should be updated when available by dealers at service but may be worth asking. |
