Key fob starts the truck,,,,but doesnt lock or unlock it....any ideas guys???? |

flat battery , start up and drive with it, it should recharge.

Well....just done a 2 hr drive....an it still not workin....although does say in manual should be used a min of 4 hrs in 6 months...will do anouther 2hrs tomorrow...if it still not workin....am gonna open it up...then it deffo wont work again |

I assume you are inserting the fob in the receiver the correct way up, buttons upwards |

Awwww c'mon....give me a bit of credit ...it did lock it earlier...once...wont do it now tho....i gotta spare...just nice to have 2 sets tho...how the hell do u open these things up tho'???... |

simont managed to split his but it is a sealed unit (waterproof) pm him for some advice |

To split open - pull out the emrgency key - then put in a screwdriver and use it as a lever to crack the case open - it is sealed all the way around - that's it basically.

Well. Split it open then realised it may have been the same prob as i had on the fob of my freelander 1....so put a little packin on the battery and put the fob back together...an hey presto..........it bloody works!!!!!!!!....just gotta glue the fob back 2gethr....happy days brothers!!! ... |

Key fob will work when inserted either way up. However, it will only recharge when inserted the correct way up (writing and pics uppermost) |
