just be thankful that's all they do.

i had a honda S2000 a few years ago and the doors on that relock if you don't open the driver door after unlocking. i only found this out after opening the passenger door to get a bag of shopping, i absent mindedly put my keys, including my house key, on the seat and shut the door. i realised i'd left my key when i got to the front door, turned to get them and heard the doors lock and the alarm blip. needless to say the spare key was in the house i'd just locked myself out of.

stupid if it only affected me but it took a while to hear the last of it from my wife whom i'd left at asda as the car wasn't big enough for her and the shopping. i was already getting grief for my impractical car choice.

Most cars I've had locks itself if the car door isn't opened within a certain time. Just a security measure in case you accidentally unlock the car with your key fob, in your pocket for example.

My wife had an S2000 and had no probs fitting the shopping in it, the same as when she had an MR2... your wife must get a LOT of shopping, or mine, not enough!

I stupidly unlocked the bootlid of my FL2 using the boot opener on the fob. Placed the keys on the floor of the boot whilst I put in the shopping. You guessed it I then closed the boot and it locked. 27mile drive for the wife and kids there and back with the spare key, she only ever said one word T**T.
In my defence I'd only had the motor 3 days.
On the subject of the the doors relocking if not opened, my last cars have all had that feature, 04 Passat, 08 C4 Picasso & 10 Yeti. Faugh A Ballagh

It's been a common feature for years I believe. Even my '97 Audi A6 did that!
