I serviced our 2008 Freelander last Sunday but completely failed to locate the pollen/cabin filter. Somehow, watching the video gave me the wrong idea of where to look. Anyway, having thought about it for 24 hours I had another go last night and found it much closer to the front bulkhead than I'd realised. Having located it, I found changing it to be a bit fiddly but basically OK and in that respect the video was really useful for showing how the cover unclipped and the filter slid out. As ever with car jobs, it should be much easier next time now I know what I'm doing! |

Great video Alex, thank you! My 2009 FL2 is Left Hand Drive as in the video and with a litle attention to the slow release bar (don't pull it, just gently press right its knob out of the cubby box) it work easy. The cubby box is absolutely important to take it out. It makes the work really easy. I used an aftermarket filter MAN CUK 2733 (with activated charcoal) amd it didn't bend at all, costs about 15 USD. Good luck, this one is easy! |

Took me about half an hour to put the filter door on. Just make sure that you dont try to put the filter door on back to front - it looks like it should fit that way round. Dont ask me how I know that. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
