Now, now. There's every chance that the earth cable may turn out to be the answer. Give it a fair chance |

Agreed. Mine is the same year but with treble OGs miles on the clock, bought S/H this July. The day after I collected it I took it on a 500 mile round trip with caravan. It performed superbly, definitely the best tow car I have owned. Hook up the 'van, put your holiday hat on and go for it! So are the problems all answered by the problem with the earth cable?

Crumbs a full quarter better on MPG? Surely not just because of the fitting of an earth strap?

Hmmm, believable, although I am surprised that something this simple can do so much good and hasn't been picked up during the design & testing of the FL2 before it went on sale.

Oldgezeer, is this earth strap the one that fits to the gearbox casing or does it connect to somewhere else?, think I will have a go at fitting one, if it only improves fuel consumption it will be worth it.
