Fellas thanks for taking the time to post and reassure me. I am looking forward to picking it up and yes it is new. An earlier post mentioned having the correct tyres on it, the Grabber ATs, are they more designed for off road or can you use them on tarmac without affecting fuel consumption and ride quality too much? |

You'd be shocked how far you can venture into the mud with the standard M+S (Mud & Snow) tyres on; they are what are used as standard fitment on the Land Rover Experience vehicles. Take care as many of the AT tyres don't have the correct V speed rating for the car. |

Many makes of car sold in Norway have a 5-year/100,000 km warranty period these days ![]() However I wouldnt expect any car manufacturere to realy "be prepared to stand by thier vehicle when its done 100,000 miles (over 160,000 kms)", that MUST be a bit of an overstatement ![]() Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

In my line of work I valet many German cars & I can assure you I have heard many horror stories regarding those too from their owners. I would say nothing is infallable!! BMW generally being the worst. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red. (Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red. (Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding. (Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather. |

Now on my second FL2, first one was a 07SE which i traded in after 35000 virtually trouble free miles for an MY11 XS which is the modern equivalent of the SE. Second one has done 8500 trouble free miles - have had no need to visit a Dealer for anything. Both mine came with Continental CrossContact standard 17 inch tyres and also had a set of Wranglers and had no trouble in snow in the Alps or UK. APC67 as I've suggested get yourself booked on an Experience Day and get to see what the Freelander 2 can do off road (and on if you wish). East of England Experience have just taken delivery of a new SD4 HSE which is a lovely vehicle and on standard fit M&S tyres. Last edited by rchrdleigh on 30th Aug 2011 7:09 pm. There really is no mileage limit, it's not an overstatement. |

My first Freelander 2 was a privately leased GS on an 07 plate. Both my wife and myself absolutely loved it. We did 2000+ miles in France within the first month. In fact, we loved that much that we bought our second GS (MY10) and that has been fantastic too. I have been driving for 30 years and this has been the only car I have had two of. Oh, and it's capabilities in the snow and ice will astound you. |

Almost fault-free 08 HSE with 60K miles. More reliable than any of the BMW or VW cars I've had and much more comfortable! Freelander 2 TD4 HSE auto Tonga Green/Alpaca |

Had my Freelander 2 GS for 3 year's only 26,000 miles with no major problems. Owned it from new. Then, last month 10 days after the warranty ran out it developed a massive oil leak. Gearbox needed removing to replace a £10 oil seal...total cost £1,200.
