...........I've just been quoted the equivalent of GBP 1,700 to have an electric engine heater fitted. Engine only - not the cabin.

There is a thread over on D3 that is on about engine heaters, and a Timer, somebody then goes on to have it SMS enabled http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic16361.html Send a text to switch it on or off, sounds to me like a good system, if you need it and if the D3 system works in a FL2 of cause Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

a few days ago someone posted a website address for buying electric engine heaters - now I can't find it. There were also some pictures regarding fitting.

I'm not too sure on this stuff, I just have too much time on my hands ![]() It maybe worth asking the question on the D3 site, they are full of knowledge over there Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

npinks, actually it was not a glass of water, but a cup of boiling coffee. This was from northern Norway, and I think the temperature were around minus 55C. We were a bit amused here in Norway, knowing this little sequence on TV apparantly made some reactions around the world. It doesn reach that temperature often. I think the records for temperature in Norway are minus 58C and pluss 38C. Apart from that, starting a car is never concidered to be a problem. Maybe we get the preheaters? I dont know. Well, with the global warming we probably will not be needing that much longer anyway. And I am a good swimmer. ![]() |
