Plates mean nothing to me, all my last few cars have been registered in August, it also helps with bartering as the dealers always have a slack month before the new reg Wink
I know it can affect residuals, but it will be a workhorse doing 30k a year.

The Merc goes back Friday, if I can get the Freely Fri/Sat it will be ideal, otherwise its a Polo hire car Sad

Pray for fine weather, 10 minutes after pickup I will be in the Trough of Bowland, hopefully getting some good pics!!

SD4 GS in Indus Silver, Ebony cloth interior (last car was leather and didn't get on, on a long journey, which all mine are)
Winter pack, mainly for heated screen and Xenons, heated cloth seats may be a little too toasty!!
Privacy Glass, although with prices of gear dropping I may have been more profitable saving the money and having clear Laughing
18" Alloys with full size spare, courtesy of July reg
Front & Rear Mud flaps, I do like a nice set of flaps Whistle
Supagard treatment included
3 year minor repair protection included

and probably a few diesel fumes, the garage is a mile down the road so we will see what I get Rolling Eyes

I have never had a silver car, in over 30 cars, so the girls won, I wanted grey, they wanted silver, so Silver it is, mainly beacuse I couldn't have red, although looking back i am now glad as i think red may have been a bit OTT for me?

On the 1st October it is booked on a day in Kielder to recieve some sort of tree rash., on the 14th it is going home for a factory tour.

Me.......well like a kid before xmas, can't wait Laughing

Heated screen and heated seats are a must I think!!! I was looking at a used sd4 xs the other day, very tempting but I need something bigger again!

If it makes you feel any better ....
...try this.

We put an offer on a house in April; offer accepted. Everything in place for a mortgage in principle. Skip a few horror stories along the way... brings us to an e-mail from our solicitor Saturday evening before last. The vendor wants to exchange contracts next Friday with a view to completing the following Friday (today). Bit of rush but no real problem... skip a few more nasty stories...

Today (completion day). Long story short ... solicitor receives money from building society and promptly deposits it in the wrong bank account! Can't get it back until the bank admits it shouldn't be there. In the meantime misery ensues! Freelander 1 TD4 HSE - gone, 2 weeks after the Cat.Converter!

That surely is the solictors problem - they should transfer the correct amount to the correct account anyway. After all - that is what they agreed, and are being paid, to do for you. 2002 Honda VFR800

Quite agree - but have to understand this is what the solicitor told me so there is a degree of cover-up going on. I only know the 'filtered' part Confused

My last conversation with a Senior Partner was pretty much like this... "you had our money in trust - you lost it. You have a duty of care to replace it". There was a promise of this being sorted Monday - without the our money returned from the bank. They've gone away to discuss this with an "Equity Partner".

Next phase is going to be - how do you sue a solicitor? Big Cry

Anyway, need to start my own thread (not hi-jack this one)... thought it might make the OP feel better Confused Freelander 1 TD4 HSE - gone, 2 weeks after the Cat.Converter!

Razmabaz, I hope this gets sorted, and soon for you.
A colleague is being pursued by the land registry for money for his house move 5 years ago, the solicitor never transferred the money and has since stopped trading.
Unfortunately lawyers are becoming a hated profession in my book (sorry Bro) but he will be the first to agree, it's why he sticks to Uni, rather than practice.

Try the legal ombudsman. http://www.legalombudsman.org.uk/

Ps. Get orf my thread Laughing

Very Happy Car has arrived at the dealers about an hour ago.
Pick up tomorrow afternoon Thumbs Up

salesman said it was a little strange though, the car came up from Gaydon this morning along with a RRS, although mileage is only 4.5 miles, so has been transported back and forth,.......or round the test track and then clocked Laughing

Happy days
