need new lug nuts...

the old ones have "swelled" from the rust below the decorative covers (as per my independent mech), new LR2 lug nuts are $25.38 each!!! so all 20 of them will be more then $500 !!!

What kind of the "seat" the OEM lug nuts use? anyone? -there are flat, acorn or bulge seats on aftermarket lugnuts, I know the thread is 14x1.5.

Using lug nut w/ wrong "seat" can destroy the alloy wheel...

thanks.

Reeventu,

thanks a lot-I will remove the OEM one and try to match to oned of those in the link you provided.

I bent OEm lug nut wrench trying to undo one tight nut, now I am waiting for 21.5 mm socket I hope will fit over the OEM lug nuts. All the standard sockets like 13/16" or 21 mm did not fit over the "swollen " nuts, the 22 mm and 7/8" were too big. In fact, if this 21.5 mm socket fits OK, I may not need to replace OEM ones yet...
